"For Colored Girls...." Broadway cast announced:
Amara Granderson, Tendayi Kuumba, Kenita R. Miller, Okwui Okpokwasili, Stacey Sargeant, Alexandria Wailes, and D. Woods will star in the upcoming Broadway revival of For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide/ When The Rainbow Is Enuf, beginning previews at Broadway's Booth Theatre April 1 ahead of an April 20 opening night. Camille A. Brown directs and choreographs, as previously reported.
Granderson will star as Lady in Orange, Kuumba as Lady in Brown, Miller as Lady in Red, Okpokwasili as Lady in Green, Sargeant as Lady in Blue, Wailes as Lady in Purple, and Woods as Lady in Yellow.
Brown makes her Broadway directorial debut with the show; she previously choreographed the 2019 production at The Public Theater. As choreographer and director for the production, Brown will be the first Black woman to serve as both on a Broadway production in more than 65 years.
